Biophysics Pashchim Student Chapter
Biophysics Pashchim Student Chapter is a group recognized under the Biophysical society.
It is a group run by students for the excitement of biophysics in the community and it is a part of a existing Biophysics Pashchim group. The chapter is formed with the hope of providing a platform for better exchange of ideas in the Biophysics community.

The Chapter conducted its first meeting in IIT Mumbai on 3rd August, 2019. In-spite of the heavy rains, the meeting was successfully conducted.

The Chapter conducted its first discussion session on 28th November 2019 at IISER, Pune with Dr. Amitabha Chattopadhyay, SERB Distinguished Fellow, Senior Scientist at the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology(CCMB), Hyderabad wherein he shared his life experience in the field of Biophysics research and he shared his thoughts about status and importance of Biophysics in India and around the globe. The Chapter conducted a session on 20th Feb 2020 with Dr. Shalini Low-Nam, Assistant Professor- Biochemistry, Purdue University. She discussed about postdoctoral career approach, guidance and opportunities. (pic)

The Chapter conducted its session on 21st Feb 2020 with pioneering MARTINI forcefield developer Dr. Siewert-J Marrink, Professor Molecular Dynamics, University of Groningen. It was an informal meet, where he shared his journey in Computational modelling, challenges faced, and Martini forcefield development stories. (pic)
